This is something going around on Facebook right now that I thought was pretty fun. I wanted to post it here for anyone that isn't on Facebook (you silly people!).


25 Random Things About Me

1. I lived in Japan 4 times (well, does 2 months in summer count?)
2. I lived in Virginia (D.C. area) twice.
3. I always lived in the same house in Provo the rest of the time.
4. My parents moved to the house across the street about 10 years ago and we all had to watch our old house get a 'makeover'--aaaaaahhhhh!
5. I am the 8th of 10 children and became an aunt at age 6 and a great-aunt at 26.
6. I avoided reading novels for years and years until about a year ago. I think I've read about 200 books since then. Very pathetic. My poor family.
7. Almost always, once I've started a book, whether I like it or not, I have to finish it.
8. Like my niece Sharlee, I've been drawn to Fairy Tales lately more than any other type.
9. My husband actually read Twilight and is now on New Moon (when he has time).
10. I am one of the many losers who love Twilight way too much and have seen the movie 5 (well, 4 3/4) times. The 3/4 time was when there was a fire alarm and we all got kicked out with 30 minutes left of the movie. Yes, I went to the opening midnight movie and yes, I got my Breaking Dawn book at midnight and read all night long. Pathetic. I really try not to be so pathetic, but get overwhelmed on occasion by the insanity.
11. No, I don't like vampires in general, but Edward and his family are awesome. We both love music--how perfect is that???
12. Yes, I love music and I play violin, piano, organ, singing, the recorder(thank you 5th grade!), and 3 chords on the guitar. Cello and clarinet (and maybe viola--easy transition) are instruments I would love to learn.
13. I played in an orchestra at Carnegie Hall in High School.
14. My college degree is a BM (as in Bachelors of Music) in Piano Performance and Pedagogy. Say that 5 times fast!
15. I met the 5 Browns (a concert pianist family) 2 weeks ago when they came and did a fireside and concert here--I even went backstage to talk to them! They are awesome!
16. I collect dolls and books--too many for my husband who is always on the hunt for things to get rid of.
17. I am a perfectionist, but have a messy house--piles of paper everywhere--because I have to have enough time to put things away properly (which never happens), thus piles, piles, piles.
18. I've decided I'm going to be a snowbird when we retire--I like Florida winters, but need northern summers.
19. John and I will have our 20th anniversary this coming December. Where did the time go?
20. My son Kalin will be 16 next month. Dating and driving! Scary!!!!
21. I've started listening to Kalin's music--some I actually like quite a bit. Others....I'm not so sure anyone should listen to it.
22. I am a certified scuba diver, but haven't had a chance to use those 'skills' here in Florida yet.
23. I think I have crafting skills, until I try to use those 'skills.' I just end up frustrated and hiding all my projects in a closet. On occasion, a project actually gets done.
24. My husband and I have a deal--he will try to get a physique like Edward if I will try to get a figure like I had when we got married. I think we're both out of luck.
25. I learned how to drive like a maniac from my husband, but of course I think I'm the best driver out there. All those crazy Florida and Snowbird drivers drive me insane!
