Fortunately for us, Fay stayed a Tropical Storm for us, then landed south of us, so we only got 5 inches of rain and less than 70 mph winds. John and I worked hard putting up shutters over the windows--better safe than sorry, I say, but it was still a pain in the keester. I know the east coast has had more trouble with the storm than we have, so we are grateful. Interestingly enough, today we had some storms come over us that were outer bands of the storm coming back across the state.
Anyway, I'll try to get some pictures--our house looks like it's in the bad part of town--bars covering the windows, that kind of thing. Fun stuff. Who knew living in Florida could be so fun!
